Q: Why does our school have a Gala?
A: At Valley Catholic, like other Catholic schools, the tuition for each child does not cover the true cost of education. In order to for tuition rates to be kept low, we have to meet this gap. Along with the Annual Fund and gap gifts, the Gala also helps to offset the operating budget for our school. The Gala is also the biggest celebration on campus, bringing together alumni, friends and parents of children of all ages within the larger community—in support and celebration of Valley Catholic School.
A few ways the Gala supports our school:

- Keeps tuition rates lower than the true cost of education
- Helps fund programs for music, theatre, art, library, STEM, athletics, faith and stewardship
- Aids tuition assistance through our Light-A-Fire appeal
- Supports efforts to maintain and secure our scenic 43 acre campus and facilities
Q: What happens to the proceeds from the Gala?
A: Proceeds from the gala go directly to the operating budgets of Valley Catholic School. The school uses the funds raised for operating expenses that make many of our programs possible.
Q: How does the online auction work?
A: The online auction will open Tuesday, November 10, 2026, and will close on Sunday, November 15, 2026. A link to the online auction and registration will be live from this website. When the auction begins, you will be able to view each auction package and bid as often and as much as you’d like. You will also have the opportunity to make donations to Light a Fire, our special appeal for tuition assistance.
Q: Can I donate an auction item to the Gala?
A: Yes! All gifts are tax deductible. Your donation directly benefits our students at Valley Catholic School, and your generosity is vital to the success of the Gala! Please submit a donation form online. Items can be dropped off at the Gala office in the Motherhouse or arrangements can be made for pick-up. Make your donation by October 29, 2026.
Q: How much does the Gala cost?
A: Participating in the online auction is free! The actual Gala event held on November 14, 2026, starts at $135 for early bird registration. Early Bird registration ends October 18, 2025. After this, tickets are $150.
Q: What is the Gala like?
A: A great way to get a feel of attending the Gala is to view the photo albums from last year.
