The Big City Adventure - a Downtown Scavenger Hunt for High School Students
Date: Saturday, April 28, 2018
Time: 12:30 - 5:00 p.m.
Location: Meet at Beaverton Creek Max Station (off SW 153rd) at 12:30 p.m.
Return to Beaverton Creek Max Station 4:30 - 5:00 p.m.
Cost: $25 per student, plus Max fare ($2.50 with student ID)

This high schoolers-only event is one your teen will not want to miss.
Join beloved Coach Nick Hegwood on a 2-hour afternoon scavenger hunt around our great city, Portland! This chaperoned adventure will take 20 students on foot across town to the best-known landmarks and some hidden gems too. They’ll complete fun photo challenges, test their knowledge on local trivia and solve riddles that will encourage the kids to work as a team, all while learning about and exploring beautiful PDX. (Smartphones are not required for each participant.) A stop for refreshments at the end will round off a fun and energetic afternoon.
Middle School Night of Adventure!

Your student will join two of our great teachers, Nick Hegwood and Sarah Zinzer, for another fun evening on campus. Teachers and students will spend 3 hours playing capture the flag, a treasure hunt and other fun games followed by pizza and ice cream. Your student will not want to miss it!
Play to Win! Poker Night
Date: Saturday, May 19, 2018
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: The Hansen home in Beaverton
Cost: $100 per person
Join your hosts, Chris Hansen and Vince Nguyen for an evening of serious poker. Your buy-in covers entry into the Texas Hold-Em tournament. Bring your wallet as there will be an add-on at the beginning and unlimited rebuys for the first 3 rounds. Professional dealers will keep the game moving and bartenders at the open bar will make sure to provide libations. There will be finger foods on hand for your break from the action.
The top six players will receive prizes including restaurant gift certificates and movie tickets.
The grand prize awarded will be an iPad Mini.

Join us as we celebrate the flavors of India, filling our school campus with the aroma of home-cooked traditional Indian food.
Enjoy a buffet dinner complete with appetizers, entrees, desserts, chai, and adult beverages. Come experience Indian culture, and food that will delight your taste buds. You might even walk away with a henna tattoo or some Bollywood dance moves!
Mah Jong – A Game of Mystery

Chess is stern, checkers is a bit dotty, and Scrabble tends to be wordy, but Mah Jong is seductive. From the rich luster of the tiles to the challenging nature of the game itself, to its enigmatic history and magical power to bring people together, Mah Jong is not just a game, but a way of life!
Join Stephanie Gilbert and Jean Houston who will host two evenings of American Mah Jong lessons of 3 hours each, together with dinner and drinks. All supplies will be provided, just bring yourself and your desire to learn a new and challenging game.
A Taste of the Valley at Olea Vineyards

We invite you and your friends to an educational and fun evening of wine tasting and food pairing with an assortment of delicious bites, set at the Olea Vineyard in Sherwood.
You will be guided through a tasting of hand-selected wines, specially paired with appetizers selected by a local chef. Afterwards, dine al fresco on grilled salmon, fresh from Alaska. This is sure to be a fabulous late summer evening event not to be missed.

Please join Genevieve Long and Mechell Hansen for our fourth fantastic ladies cocktail night. Give a warm welcome to the Fall Fling! Bring your girl-friends along for a fun evening of spiced cocktails that will warm your heart and prepare you for the wonderful days of falling leaves, crisp, colorful evenings and a cozy fires.
Your evening will start with a Sparkling Apple Cider Bellini paired with delicious appetizers. Dinner will follow, catered by a favorite local restaurant with perfect wine pairings. Finally, we will enjoy a delicious Fall dessert paired with Pumpkin Pie Shooters! An evening of enjoyment you won’t want to miss!
Throughout the evening your every need will be served by a staff of waiters. At the end of a night, filled with conversation and fun, you will leave with a special commemorative gift.
VCMS Basketball Clinic with Coach Sobotka, assisted by the stars of VCHS Basketball

This clinic is for students who will be in middle school in the 2018/19 year.
Get your child ready for the upcoming CYO season! Your potential MVP son or daughter will enjoy this one and a half hour clinic with Valley Catholic's champion coaches. They’ll get to learn "Skills and Drills" from varsity athletes, and use their new skills in a scrimmage. After the clinic they’ll be snacks and drinks for everyone.
