Shootin' with the Sisters
Why should the kids have all the fun at Camp Howard? This September, after all the campers have left, come spend an afternoon trap shooting and fishing with Sisters Krista, Michael Francine, and Adele Marie. Trap shooting, the sport of shooting clay pigeons with a shotgun, is actually an Olympic sport, and Camp Howard has the setup and all the equipment. We will start off our time with a barbeque lunch and then spend some time Trout fishing in the stocked pond, (your fish will be cleaned, wrapped and ready to go home with you). A tour of the beautiful grounds too. Have a "blast" with the Sisters in this adult-only afternoon of sport and good times. Transportation will be provided on a VCS bus, just like the kids!

Place/Contact: Camp Howard (we will leave from VCS)

Gingerbread House Decorating Party
The Christmas tradition continues! The children who are lucky enough to attend this party will have a delightful time with beloved Sisters Denise and Barbara Rose. The party will take place at the Villa, a gingerbread house of sorts itself, which will be festively decorated just for this event. The kids will enjoy listening to their favorite Christmas music and drinking hot chocolate while they decorate their gingerbread houses to their hearts’ content. Each child will get a house ready to decorate and a bag of frosting to “glue” an amazing array of candy and cookies. Of course, the children can eat their creations, too. Don’t forget to bring your camera when you pick up your little elf; the photos of the kids and the Sisters with the finished houses are precious.

Time: 1:00-2:30 p.m.
Place/Contact: The Villa, SSMO campus
Price: $50 per child

Mother/Daughter "Tiger's Curse" Author Party
Meet “the next JK Rowling,” Colleen Houck, at this exclusive book party and discussion for mothers and daughters. “Tiger’s Curse” is Ms. Houck’s first novel in a series of five. Her second book, “Tiger’s Quest,” will be released on June 7, and Ms. Houck will have advanced copies to sign for everyone.
Her books are classified as young-adult and are recommended for readers in grades 7-12. Set in India, the books are page-turners that are part fantasy, part adventure, and part love story. You and your daughter(s) will love them!
This party will be exciting to both avid readers and aspiring writers, particularly because the author self-published before she was picked up by a publisher. Be among the first to not only know about, but actually meet and mingle with an up-and-coming superstar author.
